The Canadian Association for Refugee and Forced Migration Studies (CARFMS) / Association Canadienne des Étudies sur les Réfugiés et la Migration Forcée (ACERMF) is a community for scholars with an interest in issues relating to refugees and forced migration. We also:
  • facilitate networking and collaboration between scholars
  • disseminate research findings
  • foster linkages between scholars and governmental and non-governmental actors
  • serve as a forum for debate and intellectual exchange
  • organize an annual conference (reduced rate for members)
  • are a prime resource of Canadian scholarship and academic contacts

The CARFMS Executive welcomes all CARFMS members to submit their expressions of interest to host the next CARFMS Annual Conference in 2013 or a future annual conference. CARFMS Annual Conferences are held at universities across Canada. The minimum expectations are as follows:
